The Rose Bay Family Medical Centre is an AGPAL accredited general practice.

The Rose Bay Family Medical Centre was awarded Full Unconditional Accreditation by AGPAL in 2000 and re-accredited every triennium since. AGPAL (Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited) is the governing body for General Practice accreditation. This Accreditation reflects the fact that Rose Bay Family Medical Centre has met standards set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. These standards are designed to ensure high quality care is provided in a safe and well-organised way. Recognition by AGPAL demonstrates the commitment of this practice to continually provide comprehensive family medical care to all.

The doctors are experienced in the broad range of general practice. The doctors treat patients with dignity, respects, kindness, and courtesy and at the same time practise medicine of the highest ethical standard. They are Vocationally Registered and undergo quality assurance and continuing medical education.

Historical Background

The Rose Bay Family Medical Centre was established by Dr. Theo Penklis in 1989. It moved to its present location in 1998. Dr. Shirine Wong joined the practice in 1997 prior to the expansion to the current site. Dr. David Moddel joined the practice in 2002. Dr. Adele Loo joined the practice in 2014. Dr. Kerran Taylor joined the practice in 2016. Dr. Will Errington joined the practice in 2018.Dr Arnold Lopis joined the practice in 2022.

This family practice provides high quality family medical care in a homely atmosphere in a convenient location.

Practice Philosophy

The Rose Bay Family Medical Centre is committed to providing comprehensive family medical care to all. The doctors are experienced in the broad range of general practice and have a commitment to quality medical care.

The doctors treat patients with dignity, respect, kindness and courtesy and at the same time practise medicine of the highest ethical standard.
They are Vocationally Registered and undergo quality assurance and continuing medical education as directed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

All doctors are free to determine whether to accept new patients. No patient is ever refused access to a practice doctor on the basis of their sex, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference or medical condition.
